Okay so we did have an idea that Ducati is working on a Panigale V4 Superleggera but we didn’t know that it will have 221 horsepower! Yeah, that’s right. And this information has been revealed by an alleged leaked document.
The new Superleggera will be based on the V4R which is powered by a 998cc, V4 engine. And instead of the bigger and torquier 1103cc engine, it will get the same V4R’s engine. So it will have 3.6 bhp more in the same configuration. Ducati might have achieved this by slapping on a titanium aftermarket exhaust system.
Apart from more horses, the Panigale V4 Superleggera will, of course, be lighter. Ducati won’t be going all-in with carbon-fibre this time. So don’t expect to see full carbon-fibre swingarm or frame, however, there will be a set of carbon-fibre wheels to keep the weight in check. They will also help in bike’s handling, stability and performance. There isn’t an exact figure but it’s being said that it will be 11 kg lighter than the Panigale V4R which weighs 193 kg. So more powerful and lighter – that’s what we want.

Ducati would also provide a track-only ECU setting with the new Superleggera so that the owners would be able to extract the bike’s full potential. It’s quite possible that with this ECU setting engaged, the bike could reach the 240 bhp mark!
The leaked document also tells that the upcoming Panigale V4 Superleggera will have slightly larger dimensions. This could result in having a new visor and perhaps redesigned winglets.
We are expecting Ducati to officially reveal the new Panigale V4 Superleggera in a few weeks.
