Triumph Daytona Moto2 765 Limited Edition

The 2020 Triumph Dayton 765 – it is finally official! We’ve been seeing spy shots and watching spy video of this, probably the most anticipated motorcycle of the year, since early this year. Then everything went silent and we had no clue when next are we going to have any information about the Daytona 765. Little did we know that the silence was nothing else but the silence before the storm!

The official name of the bike is Triumph Daytona Moto2 765 Limited Edition. It clearly tells us that it is going to be a limited edition model. As per the news, Triumph is going to make the Daytona 765 in two avatars – one for Europe and Aisa and one for US and Canada. Both the versions will get 765 units each. We don’t have details regarding the booking but Triumph’s Instagram post says ‘Contact a Triumph dealership today and place your deposit to secure yours’.

The Daytona Moto2 765 is going to be powered by a 765cc, 3-cylinder engine which we have seen in the latest Street Triple but the one of the Daytona is inspired by the one used in current Moto2 race bikes. So the Daytona 765 will be the closest you can get to a genuine Moto2 factory machine. Triumph is going to reveal the production bike for the first time at the British MotoGP at Silverstone on 23rd August. We will have the official specs of the bike then. For now, we know that the Street Triple RS has around 121 horses which means that the new Daytona will have more than that and it will be much lighter and thus, much faster and fun.

We are super excited about the Triumph Daytona Moto2 765 Limited Edition and can’t wait to see it in flesh. The only bummer is that it will be a limited edition model and not everyone would be able to get their hands on one.
