Details about Ducati Electric Mountain Bike – MIG-RR E-MTB

Everyone’s busy talking about electric cars, electric motorcycles, and so on. Perhaps, Ducati introduced the MIG-RR to give us a break. This E-MTB is gorgeous and technically advanced. It is the result of a partnership with Thok E-bikes, an Italian company specialized in pedal-assisted bicycles. And designed by Aldo Drudi with the Ducati Design Center collaboration.

The Shimano Steps E8000 electric motor is specific for the E-MTB. It has three levels of assistance (Eco, Trail, Boost) and a Power-Walk mode. With the Shimano E-Tube app, you can customize the Trail and Boost assistance levels to three different positions. And there’s a 504 Wh Shimano battery.

To make sure the bike remains stable and stiff during its entire life, Ducati has used 6061 T4 T6 aluminium frame, forged and CNC-machined parts with hydroformed tubes with variable thickness. The battery situated below the diagonal tube lowers the center of gravity and improves handling. The suspension setup is from Kashima. Upfront is Kashima Factory Series FOX 36 Float fork, FIT4, with 36 mm legs, and 170 mm of travel. And at the rear, we’ve Kashima Factory Series FOX DPX2 shock absorber, 160 mm of travel with TPS levers (Thok Progressive System) Horst Link suspension.
