Suzuki has added the new GTA variants to its already-successful ADV segment. The V-Strom 650GTA and the 1000GTA will now come with a three-piece aluminium luggage set as standard, offering riders further storage capacity and rugged adventure looks.
The three-piece aluminium luggage set is finished in black with a total capacity of 112-litres. The three panniers, if purchased separately would set one back by $1551. The V-Strom proves to be one of Suzuki’s most successful models majorly because of its subtle but powerful looks.
The bikes are built on a slim twin-spar aluminium frame which the company claims contributes majorly towards its fuel economy. Additionally, both the swing-arms are set to a length to provide straight-line stability at an elevated terrain. The bikes also come with an adjustable windscreen which uses a ratchet gear mechanism to provide riders with three different angles to choose from.
The V-Strom 1000GTA is powered by a 1037-cc 4-stroke, liquid cooled V-twin engine that puts out a power of 100bhp of power and 101Nm of torque. While the 650GTA is powered by the same type with the lower capacity of 645-cc, capable of delivering 70bhp of power and 62Nm of torque. Both the bikes rest on a 19-inch wheel in the front and a 17-inch wheel at the rear.
The 650GTA feature rider-assists technologies including the Advanced Traction Control System, Low RPM Assist and Easy Start System. Meanwhile, the 1000GTA scores better with an additional Motion Track Brake System which provides enhanced braking performance with the help of a radial mounted four-piston monobloc Tokico brake calipers and twin 310mm diameter discs on the front and a 260mm diameter single disc with a single piston caliper on the rear.
