Kawasaki brought a missile to the world when it launched the mighty Ninja H2. This motorcycle was one of the most anticipated products of all time and why shouldn’t it be, after all, it had a supercharger! Now, rumours are spreading about Kawasaki working on a street-touring variant of the H2.

This is something that would be received with open arms by motorcyclists. I mean, a supercharged street-touring motorcycle with over 200 horses ready to pounce at your will, that’s bliss. Of course, there have to be many changes in the motorcycle to make it a touring friendly one. Not that people aren’t doing long distance rides on the current H2, but it would be even better if you get all the necessary touring related goodies fitted from the factory.

Some people have even given a name to the rumour, the Kawasaki Ninja H2 GT. How would Kawasaki proceed with this thought, still carries a big question mark. Would the Japanese begin from scratch and create a new chassis for its new rumoured motorcycle, or would they continue with the current one and implement changes to make it suit the touring needs. Also, what do they have in mind with their motorcycle lineup of supercharged engines?

Maybe Kawasaki would bring out something like what we’ve seen from KTM, the 1290 Super Duke GT. It can easily eat up many kilometres without giving a fuss and is very sporty at the same time. Or maybe Kawasaki would be getting clues from the new Honda Gold Wing and the BMW K1600 GT series.

We don’t know how true this rumour is but it definitely has given us an image of a Kawasaki Ninja H2 GT! We hope Kawasaki is all ears to such rumours and would surprise us with something new sometime soon.
