KTM has been teasing its upcoming 1290 Super Duke R for the last few weeks and we know that the Austrian brand is going to showcase the new Orange Monster at the EICMA a few days from now. However, before that happens, we have a spy shot of what looks like a production-ready model of the 2020 KTM 1290 Super Duke R.

The new bike doesn’t look that much different from the one that’s currently on sale. However, KTM has done some minor changes in the aesthetics like sharper tank shrouds, broad shoulder lines on the fuel tank, sleeker headlight, etc., that make the bike look a bit more aggressive.

2020 KTM 1290 Super Duke R expected specs?

Well, we don’t have any specific numbers to share with you guys but we do know that the new Super Duke will feature a new tubular Trellis frame with a redesigned sub-frame and swingarm. Also, the alloy wheels would be new and might be lighter than before.

KTM might also play around with the suspension setup of the new Super Duke to ensure the handling is spot on. And as far as the braking goes, Brembo will continue to be in charge. We think KTM will continue to use the same engine with some minor tweaks.

EICMA 2019 will start on November 5th and we just can’t be more excited! KTM would reveal full details of the new 1290 Super Duke R then. So stay tuned!
