Piaggio MP3 Scooter is famous all across the globe for its ‘different’ three-wheel setup; two at the front and one at the rear. Piaggio has now expanded its MP3 lineup by introducing two new models – Sport LT 300 and Sport LT 500. Both these models are based on the current Business LT Range but have lesser number of features.
The two new models mainly get cosmetic changes to differentiate them from the other members of the family. To begin with, they get a revamped bodywork, new seats for more comfort for both rider and pillion, large windscreen and seven LED DRLs at the front. There’s also the PMP system, which connects via Bluetooth to a smartphone and includes a grip-warning function, in case you lose traction. The Sport LT 300 makes a maximum power of 21 hp and weighs around 250 kgs (550 pounds) whereas the Sport LT 500 has a rated maximum power of 39 hp and it weighs around 272 kgs (600 pounds). Piaggio hasn’t skipped safety features on its new MP3 lineup. The presence of ABS along with ASR (Anti Slip Regulation) traction system, makes these scooters quite safe.
Of course, the design of the MP3 scooters is quite unique but that doesn’t mean it is any less good than the conventional setup. The weird yet exotic combination of a 14-inch rear wheel and two 13-inch front wheels, definitely makes the vehicle stand out-of-the-crowd. It might be intimidating for some at first but it is extremely user-friendly and easy to ride. It is due to this unique design and exceptional performance that the Piaggio MP3 Scooter is so successful worldwide.
