So Suzuki’s mysterious bike in the teasers is none other than the next-gen V-Strom 1000. Suzuki revealed the updated bike in a small video. The new V-Strom 1000 will have its world premiere at the upcoming EICMA in Milan.
What’s new?
Well, quite a lot. The new V-Strom has drifted away from the current-gen model. It now looks more mature and sharper. Gone is the oddly shaped headlight and we see a Katana-inspired unit. Following are some other new features that we spotted-
- New design
- DR Big-inspired red and white paint scheme
- Fully-digital instrument cluster
- Restyled windscreen
- New knuckle guards
What about the engine?
We don’t have any details regarding the engine that will power the new 2020 V-Strom 1000. However, we do think that it’s going to be Euro 5 compliant. The current model is powered by a 1037cc, V-twin that produces 99 bhp and 103 Nm of torque. We are also expecting to see a revised set of rider aids.
More details about the new V-Strom 1000 will be revealed at the EICMA which will kick off on November 5th.
