Petronas Yamaha SRT has revealed its 2019 livery at a special event in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The new livery is totally different from what we saw in post-season testing last year. It’s a lot attractive and eye-catching. And of course, has prominent branding for the title sponsor Petronas.
Petronas Yamaha SRT team has replaced Tech3 team as the sole non-factory Yamaha team in MotoGP. This is a big step up for the team. The team’s 2019 MotoGP riders are Franco Morbidelli and Fabio Quartararo, the youngest rider in the premier class for 2019. Both were present during the unveiling of the new livery. Also present were Moto2 and Moto3 Petronas Sprinta Racing riders- Khariul Idham Pawi, Ayumu Sasaki and John McPhee.

Speaking about the new livery, Morbidelli said, “I feel we are taking part in a great thing. Petronas and SIC are doing a great thing too, so I’m very pleased. I hope we can get good results and make Petronas people happy.”
“We started well, and we have been working well from the beginning. This is a good start, but I don’t know. I will try to be the best rider I can, and I will see. I can say that I have to thank everybody from Petronas for giving me this opportunity. I feel, again, that we’re doing a great thing. We’ll do the maximum to make you proud.”
The 2019 Petronas Yamaha SRT livery includes a mix of black-and-turquoise paint scheme which would be easier to spot during races. Undoubtedly, it’s one of the best team liveries of the 2019 season.

Sharing his views, Razlan Razali, Sepang CEO, said, “While the new MotoGP team remains an underdog, we are ambitious in our targets. It is important to start and perform our first year well, with the strongest confidence and trust in our two riders Franco and Fabio.”
Both Morbidelli and Quartararo are now eyeing to get the most out of the upcoming pre-season official testing in Sepang that is scheduled to take place on 6th to 8th February 2019.
