Suzuki recently revealed its new livery for the 2018 MotoGP season. There isn’t a huge difference from that of 2017 one. Apart from this, Suzuki also introduced a new MotoGP inspired colour scheme for its 1000cc bikes – the GSX-R1000 and the GSX-R1000R.

Both the Gixxers are Suzuki’s top-of-the-line products available in the market right now. The new MotoGP inspired colour scheme includes a slight addition of black with the usual yellow. The rest of the combination of blue and white remains the same.

The new colour scheme will be available in both the Gixxers – the GSX-R1000 as well as the GSX-R1000R. Apart from the colour, there are a few other MotoGP technologies that Suzuki has used in these motorcycles. For example – the VVT, which allows for a punchier low and mid-range without compromising the power at the top end. Then there are the electronics on the GSX-R1000R – a 10-stage, lean angle-sensitive traction control system and launch control, plus cornering ABS and a bi-directional quick-shifter and auto-blipper. A complete package.

It is being anticipated that the bikes with the new colour scheme will start reaching showrooms sometime in March; the same time when the 2018 MotoGP season is scheduled to commence.
