The last time MV Agusta appeared in the headlines we got to know the company’s future plans with its newly developed 4-cylinder engine. While a bike featuring that engine would still take longer than expected to see the light of the day, MV Agusta has launched another special edition Brutale 800 RR just to keep things fresh in the meantime.
This special edition Brutale is called the 800 RR America. With this MV is paying homage to the 1975 MV S America 750. It is unique in terms of aesthetics. It gets a metallic blue paint scheme, with stars studded in the tank, and also gets a red seat, which MV says is more comfortable than the standard one.
In terms of engine and performance, the Brutale 800 RR America is powered by the same Euro-4 spec engine that is currently being used in the standard 800 RR. It produces around 140 bhp of power. The new bike also gets the redesigned gearbox and updated electronics.
MV Agusta has not said anything about whether the Brutale 800 RR America is going to be produced in a limited number or not. But still, the new bike comes with an individual production number on the instrument cluster as well as a certificate of authenticity.
