The 3rd and final day of the official Sepang test was dominated by the Ducati Desmosedici bikes. Not one, not two, but four; the top four positions were acquired by the fabulous Italian machines. Petrucci, Bagnaia, Miller, and Dovizioso finished in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th positions respectively.

Petrucci did numerous laps of the Malaysian circuit before setting the lap time on fire. Showcasing his phenomenal performance and talent, he clocked the best lap time of 1:58.239. He was followed by Francesco Bagnaia who finished with a time of 1:58.302.

The 3rd and 4th placeholders were not far behind. Jack Miller’s best lap of the Sepang test was 1:58.366 which gave him the 3rd spot, and Andrea Dovizioso finished at 1:58.538 taking the 4th place.

Maverick Vinales, who set the fastest lap on day 2 of the Sepang test, finished 5th with Crutchlow following him on 6th. It seemed that The Doctor still hasn’t found his connection with the Yamaha M1 as he was the 10th fastest.

And at the 11th spot was the reigning MotoGP world champion, Marc Marquez. The Spaniard was the fastest on day 1 but it seems he’s still recovering from his shoulder injury. He finished at 8th place on day 2 and on 11th on day 3.

The results of the Sepang test were a mixed bag. Now, only the final official test is remaining which is going to take place in Qatar during Feb 23-25, and the first race of the 2019 MotoGP season will be flagged off on March 10.
