The new super sexy 2019 MotoGP livery that Valentino Rossi and Maverick Vinales will be seen in in the 2019 season has been unveiled by the Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP Team at an event organized at the Four Seasons Hotel Jakarta in Indonesia. The launch event’s theme “Beast Mode On” echoes the new title sponsorship deal between Yamaha and Monster Energy, as well as the team’s mindset ahead of the 2019 season.
We have always liked Yamaha’s livery. However, the latest output is the best that we’ve seen so far. The beautiful M1s continue to feature a blue color scheme but this time there’s a whole lot of black as well. Overall it’s a darker theme.
The logo of Monster Energy, the title sponsor of the team, is very prominent on the bikes. Also, there are a few personal touches as well which represents each rider. Besides the prominent Monster Energy branding, throughout the 2019 racing season, the bikes will continue to feature the slogans of Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing, Yamaha Motor Vietnam Co., Ltd., Yamaha Motor Philippines, Inc., and Thai Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd.
Speaking about the new livery, Lin Jarvis, Managing Director of Yamaha Racing, said, “We like the new colors of the bike a lot. It’s more aggressive and I think that is what we need to be. We need to adopt the attitude of ‘beast mode on’ to be world champions. The new design, especially the black-to-blue gradient on the bike, visualizes the partnership between Monster Energy and Yamaha. Now the work really begins with the upcoming preseason test in Sepang. The entire team, the riders, and I are sure the fans are impatient to see some MotoGP action again.”
Valentino Rossi said, “The team presentation is always an event that I enjoy. It is the first time that we can show off our full package for the new season and, most importantly, this event signals that the start of the preseason is close! I’ve taken a bit of time to relax and train these last couple of months, but, like the fans, I’ve mostly been looking forward to starting the new season.I’m sincerely looking forward to the new season and to riding again, I want to get back aboard my M1! I feel as good and determined as ever, nothing changed in that area, and I believe that, with some hard work, we can improve upon last year and be back on top.”
Also present on the stage was Rossi’s teammate, Maverick Vinales. He said, “We are here in Jakarta to start the new season. This year’s team presentation was very special, because there are many changes compared to last year. The most noticeable of course are the new team colours and the bike livery. As soon as I saw it, I couldn’t help but feel excited to start the new season. It will be a completely fresh start for all of us: new title sponsor, new team colours, and for me a new rider number. Our first chance to see where we stand is at the Sepang Test in a few days’ time. I’m looking forward to it, because I have high expectations for this year. My motivation hasn’t changed, and I plan on going all out this season – ‘Beast Mode On’!”
