MV Agusta, in collaboration with Formula 1 racer Lewis Hamilton, has announced a limited run of special edition F4 LH44, limited to 44 units.
MV Agusta has again teamed up with three-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton to create a one-off radical motorcycle based on the F4 Supersports. Previously the two had come together to create the bonkers Dragster RR LH.
The MV Agusta F4 LH44 is based on the F4 RC, which is derived from the Reparto Corse Superbike. The F4 LH44 gets a titanium exhaust system and a dedicated ECU that boosts power to 212 hp from the stock RC’s 205 hp. It is also adorned with Lewis Hamilton’s signature Panther logo.
“I am very excited to continue my partnership with MV Agusta. I love working with Giovanni and the guys at MV Agusta, their passion for engineering and attention to detail produces stunning, original looking bikes. My projects with MV Agusta are a great way to combine my love of riding bikes with my interest in the creative design process so I am very much involved with the CRC (Castiglioni Research Center) design team throughout.
I am particularly excited to introduce my new bike, the F4 LH44. It looks quite stunning and I had the pleasure of riding on track a few weeks ago in Italy, it feels great and combines the best of both worlds, a race bike for the road!”, said Lewis, speaking about the new bike.
The MV Agusta F4 LH44 gets a paint scheme that instantly sets it apart from other F4s out on the road. MV has used special ink-based paint instead of the regular color-based paint to impart the LH44 with a distinctive, rich candy apple red on the fairing and gloss pearl white on the TIG-welded hand built Chromoly steel trellis frame. Black graphics at select places on the bodywork add a sinister, mean look to the F4 LH44.
The unique color scheme also extends to the specialized suspension: a blacked-out Öhlins USD NIX30 TiN-coated fork with separately adjustable hydraulic response in compression (left tube) and rebound (right tube) and pre-load. The inner tubes of the USD forks are anodized, adding a dash of gold to the dark theme running throughout the bike. A blacked-out Öhlins TTX 36 rear shock with a piggyback reservoir is also employed, which can also be mechanically adjusted.
The engine is all blacked-out as well, including its lightweight magnesium alloy parts. The seat is handmade from the finest natural leather and Alcantara. The smoked screen of the F4 LH44 is a first for any production MV Agusta F4. Together with carbon fiber parts in the front fairing and the deep red paint, the bike looks visually appealing with an alternating gloss-matt paint finish.
The MV Agusta F4 LH44 sits pretty on forged rims wrapped in one-off rubber. The Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa SP tyres (120/70/ZR17 front and 200/55/ZR17 rear) have been specially designed for the LH44. These tyres feature red sidewalls with an LH44 logo incorporating Hamilton’s initials and race number.
Only 44 of this super exclusive special edition MV Agusta F4 LH44 will ever be made. Better hurry if you want one!
