There is a current trend in the motorcycle market where retro-modern motorcycles are being well-received and celebrated. It almost seems like the perfect amalgamation of old and new and this invigorating mix of the two dissimilar themes, the retro-modern bikes have its own fanatic group following that worships every launch.
In this niche, the new Kawasaki Z900RS promises to be one of the coolest looking retro-modern bikes out there. Honda came into the party with a few retro-modern bikes recently. Yamaha has been in the retro-modern scene for some time now while Suzuki plans to have their own interpretation into how they want their retro-modern bikes to be perceived.
While the retro-modern niche was already being filled, Kawasaki is the “Johnny-come-lately” company but it seems like the wait was not so bad after all as the end result seems promising. The recent teaser that was launched on Youtube does not show a lot of details of the bike besides the fact that it will be heavily based on the Z1.
What you see on the actual bike is a circular headlight design that is robotic and has Z all over it. A Japanese auto magazine has rendered some images that will help you woo at the bike but no other details.
Going by the looks of the bike, it is more likely to feature the same 948cc Inline four cylinder engine from the Z900 and might also carry the same frame under its skin. Unfortunately, this is only an educated guess and we are not sure as to what the actual production ready vehicle will have. For this, we eagerly wait for October 25th when the 2018 Kawasaki Z900RS will make its first debut at the Tokyo Motor Show. Meanwhile, revel on the teaser of the Z900RS as we bring the latest new as it launches.
