The latest report suggests that Honda might be working on two new 650cc motorcycles. These could be middleweight class bike and chances are they could be displayed at this year’s EICMA show in Milan.

The news emerges from a French magazine, Moto Revue. According to them, Fabrice Recoque, director of the motorcycle division of Honda France, has told them in an interview about the two upcoming motorcycles.

Recoque said, “Our roadster strategy will be established in two phases. Medium term we will have a new bike which will be about 650cc and that will be presented in the coming months. I cannot say more about this. That bike will be followed by another new bike, this one will be more volume-oriented and we have already started work on it, but it’s not for now.”

He also commented on the Yamaha MT07 as a rival to these two new motorcycles, “Our strategy will not be to attack the MT-07 with the same style or a similar price. We will propose a very different motorcycle with a unique style and very different positioning. It will probably be a bit more expensive but also very different and slightly off the competition.”

Recoque did not reveal any further information about the mystery motorcycles. There is no name or specs as of now. But it is being speculated that Honda might reincarnate the very popular CB600F Hornet. We are pretty excited about Honda’s latest strategy, are you?
