It was only last year, I mean in Dec 2019, when Indian Motorcycle filed a trademark application for the name ‘Indian Raven’. This news led to many speculations as to what the iconic brand has in its mind. The dust wasn’t even fully settled and another news regarding another new Indian name came out.

The latest findings suggest that Indian Motorcycle has filed a new trademark on 3 Jan 2019 that would potentially add a new model to the brand’s product portfolio. This new trademark is Indian Renegade.

Just like last time, speculations will be made as to what Indian would make this name into. We are well aware of the brand’s capabilities outside its ‘cruiser’ comfort zone ever since it launched the FTR1200. Also, it has got a rich history in flat track racing so that can never be neglected.

UM Motorcycles already has a series of cruisers by the name of Renegade. Perhaps, that’s the reason Indian has trademarked Indian Renegade instead of just Renegade. The news also suggests that the trademark is reserved both for a motorcycle and any associated structural parts. This means that whenever Indian would use this name, it will be most likely for a motorcycle.

It is good to know that Indian Motorcycle is planning to expand its range of products. This brand is very much capable of doing it so why it shouldn’t. Let’s see what the Indian Raven and Indian Renegade turn out to be. What do you think about these two names? Let us know in the comments.
