Although I have a soft spot for fully faired sportbikes, I’d be lying if I say I don’t want to see a 200+ hp naked Ducati V4. Naked bikes have a different flair, a unique charm, and attraction. There are so many people out there who would agree with me. Now the question is, whether Ducati is going to come out with such a motorcycle or not? Well, it just might!

As per the latest reports, in a recent interview with Swiss website Acid Moto, Ducati Motor Holding’s CEO Claudio Domenicali had an interesting comment on one of the interviewer’s questions regarding streetfighter-style model based on the Panigale V4 engine. “Do you think Ducati should produce such a bike?”, asked Claudio. ‘Yes’ was the obvious answer. “It will, therefore, be made as soon as possible!”, replied Claudio.
Claudio didn’t confirm anything, but he didn’t deny it as well. He played it very diplomatically, of course, the way he should have. But his reply has definitely got our hopes high about a naked Ducati V4.
The engine of the Ducati V4 is a masterpiece. The Italians have spent large sums of money on its R&D. All that effort, time, and money only for a single product? That is a bit hard to digest. Ducati would and should utilize the V4 engine in other future bikes. And this is another reason why chances of a naked Ducati V4 becoming a reality are on the higher side.

Earlier this year, an Italian firm called the Officine GP Design stripped of a Ducati V4 and created a naked version of the bike. And I don’t need to tell you how gorgeous, lustrous, and desirable it is. It is called the V4 Penta and there are only 10 of them.
The V4 Penta isn’t an official Ducati creation but now we do have an idea if there would be a naked V4 is the future, it is surely going to become one of the bests in the segment.
