Honda Tourism, how fancy a name is that?

A few days ago we reported about Honda working on an entry-level adventure motorcycle (read) whose design was patented by the company. Well, it seems that Honda wasn’t just working on it, in fact, had already completed the job and named it Honda Tourism. This new adventure motorcycle has been unveiled in China on the occasion of the 25th-anniversary celebrations of Wuyang-Honda joint venture.

Previously, the bike was addressed as Honda CB190X since it was likely to be based on the platform of Honda CB190R. However, in the pictures taken at the unveiling event, it can be clearly seen written ‘Tourism’ on the tank of the motorcycle. So, Honda has named it Tourism; not an exciting one, is it?

Powered by a 184cc, single cylinder engine, produces 15.5 bhp

Now since it’s official that the new Honda Tourism is based on the platform of CB190X, it means that it will be sharing the same engine- a single cylinder, 184cc air-cooled fuel injected unit, tuned to produced a max power of 15.8 bhp at 8000 rpm. The Tourism is very similar to the patented design that we reported a few days ago. It gets the adventure-bike features like a high windscreen (might not be adjustable), a beak, handlebar mounted hand guards, bash plate and aluminium grab rail.

Unlike the Honda CBF190X Fight Hawk, which is another entry-level adventure-style bike from Honda, the Tourism (CB190X) has conventional forks at the front (with long travel), a mono suspension setup at the rear and a side mounted exhaust for higher ground clearance.

Available in four colour options

The Honda Tourism or the CB190X will be available in four colours- black, red, yellow and white. Pricing hasn’t been known as of now but we will update it later. Bikes like this are targeted for a different category of buyers and it is very unlikely of Honda to bring these to the UAE.
