Energica Motor Company S.p.A., headquartered in Modena, Italy published a press release detailing their plans for the upcoming future. These include new dealers, reduction in prices, introduction of a new model, and foray into a new motorcycle market.
Energica Motor entered the US market in 2014, to have slice of the biggest EV pie in the world. Twelve months later, they had already set up operational headquarters in Redwood, San Francisco. Currently, there are two dealerships in the USA. One is in Los Angeles, West Palm Beach (Florida) and the other is in Nashua (New Hampshire).
The press release states that new negotiations are underway in a bid to expand dealer and service network for the Italian exotic EV manufacturer.
The negotiations have helped Energica improve their business economy. The company will soon slash prices of their models by up to $5,000.
“The significant competitive improvement,” says Stefano Benatti, US General Manager Energica Motor Company Inc., “is due to improved economies of scale and the operational structure optimization in the United States.”
Come EICMA 2017, Milan, and Energica will reveal the final version of its third model. The Energica Eva EsseEsse9, currently under homologation, will hit Euro and US showrooms in 2018, after a grand reveal at EICMA. The EsseEsse9 is purported to be a retro motorcycle inspired EV, and has been designed to chase the old-school bike market.
Furthermore, Energica Motor Company have formally announced their plans to enter the Canadian market. The Energica range is in the homologation process with the Canadian authorities. Negotiations for dealerships and service centers are also in full swing.
