Aprilia RS660 has been under development for quite some time now. We did see its few spy shots last year on a race track. Now, finally, it has become a reality at the EICMA 2019 where Aprilia has unveiled it.
As it can be seen in the pictures, the new RS660 is super-aggressive in terms of its looks. It features a twin-LED headlamp that is responsible for its mean look. It also has cornering lights. The RS660’s fairing is sharp too and we are pretty sure Aprilia must have done extensive aerodynamic testing on it.
Aprilia always has made some fantastic-looking motorcycles and the new RS660 is no exception as it joins the proud Italian family.
Powering this new bike is a 660cc, parallel-twin engine that has been tuned to churn out a max power of 100 bhp. For the rider’s aid, the bike gets wheelie control, cornering ABS, cruise control, five ride modes and a bi-directional quick shifter.
Aprilia says that the RS660 is a street bike and thus, even though it has clip-ons, its riding position isn’t that demanding. It has been intentionally kept slightly upright for ease of riding. So it can be easily ridden on the street as well as perform quite well on the track.
