It was only last month when a few pictures of the upcoming Triumph Rocket III were leaked. The pictures weren’t clear enough to see the details of the bike. Now, there are a set of new pictures that have surfaced and are clearer than before.
As per the new spy pictures, the new Triumph Rocket III looks quite production-ready. It’s quite understandable that Triumph is testing the bike as of now. The test mule was wearing no camouflage and hence revealed the entire bike.
The front of the new Rocket III appears to be very similar to that of its predecessor. There is a twin headlight setup, which we are guessing would be LEDs, with integrated LED DRLs. The bike also gets beefier USD forks at the front and a mono-shock at the rear. The seating posture of the rider is quite upright and a bit relaxed.
The rear end of the bike looks similar to the earlier spy picture that we have seen. It has an inbuilt tail light in the body and the turn indicators and the license plate is placed at the rear tire hugger. We can also see the big twin exhaust pipes on the right side of the bike and there is a single pipe on the left side as well. It is definitely going to be loud!
The new pictures also tell us that the new Triumph Rocket III will have a single-sided swingarm and will be shaft-driven. To implement these, Triumph had to use a new frame. What else? There are bar-end mirrors and probably an advanced instrument cluster. We are also expecting to see a good electronics package with bits like traction control, ABS, engine maps, etc.
As far as the engine is concerned, it is being said that Triumph has bumped up the displacement from 2,294cc of the predecessor to somewhere close to 2,500cc. It will be an inline 3-cylinder engine. And, of course, will meet the latest Euro 4 emission norms.
Well, the bike looks pretty ready to hit the production line. Obviously, Triumph hasn’t released any information about it. Let’s see when this new beast comes out.
If you own a Triumph Rocket III, do let us know in the comments and we’d love to see a picture of it!
