Baume & Mercier, a major Swiss luxury watchmaking company which has been in this business for last 187 years, and Indian Motorcycle, America’s first motorcycle company, joined hands to form an alliance. The announcement of this partnership was done at the historic Bonneville Salt Flats.

The partnership of these two brands will capture the iconic spirit and translate it into a series of limited edition watches paying tribute to Indian Motorcycle’s iconic history, which will be revealed later this year. 50 years ago Burt Munro took his Indian Scout Streamliner to push the limits of speed at the Salt Flats, entering history to become “The World’s Fastest Indian”. To honour him and to celebrate the 50th anniversary, Lee Munro, Burt Munro’s great nephew, recreated the historic run at Bonneville. Also, the announcement of the partnership of Baume & Mercier and Indian Motorcycle on the same day made this date a memorable one yet again.
