The mighty untameable Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory has been given a considerable upgrade for the 2019 model. This update comes in the form of a new semi-active suspension setup from Ohlins which will make riding this maniac even more fun.
The Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 electronic semi-active suspension system has two modes – semi-active and manual. The semi-active mode keeps a detailed track of what’s happening at both the front and rear suspension. It also analyses rider’s throttle and brake inputs. All that data goes is utilized to adjust the suspension accordingly.
The manual mode can be adjusted to any of the three available settings – track, sport, and road. Apart from this, we also get an advanced Object-Based Tuning Interface (OBTi) which allows even further personalization to the settings.
To manage the 175 horses of the Tuono V4 1100 Factory, Aprilia has provided its Aprilia Performance Ride Control (APRC) control system which offers a host of electronic aids like bi-directional quick-shifter, cornering ABS, eight-stage traction control, anti-lift, launch control, pit lane limiter, cruise control, wheelie control, and launch control. The rest of the package remains unchanged.
