Remember the RS660 that Aprilia showcased at the EICMA 2018? It was a concept that we wanted to become a reality ASAP. Well, it seems that Aprilia might just make us happier as it’s eyeing to launch the RS660 in 2020.
Aprilia is working round the clock and trying to get the RS660 to reach dealerships in 2020. Recently, the RS660 was caught testing at the famous Imola circuit. There’s a small video clip which reveals the exhaust note of the bike. Although it was in the pit lane we can get an idea of how would it sound like in its full glory.

The engine of the Aprilia RS 660 is a parallel twin-cylinder unit that is based on the mighty RSV4’s engine. It’s expected to churn out around 100 horses. With the engine as a stressed member of the chassis and an aluminium frame, the RS 660 would be pretty lightweight.
Aprilia has not released any official details regarding the specs of the new bike but it’s being said that the displacement would be kept under the 650cc mark as this will allow Aprilia to participate in racing events like the Isle of Man TT’s Lightweight TT class.
