Triumph has been testing out its 2020 Street Triple RS for quite some time now. We have reported about its test mule being spotted in the past. It was being anticipated that Triumph would unveil the new Street Triple RS at this year’s EICMA but that’s not going to happen because an earlier date for the unveiling has been made official.
In a teaser video, Triumph has confirmed that the unveiling of the 2020 Street Triple RS will take place on October 7, the first day of the Intermot show in Germany.
When it comes to the changes in the new Street Triple, speculations say that it would get the recently launched Daytona 765-tuned engine which would be Euro 5 compliant. The current model runs on the same 765cc inline 3-cylinder engine, however, it’s in a different state of tune and churns out 121 hp.
We are definitely getting a face makeover in the form of newly designed LED DRLs that appear to be more aggressive, perhaps just like the bike’s character. A few alterations are expected to be seen in the tail and pillion seat of the 2020 Street Triple RS. Triumph might also update the set of electronics in the new bike.
So now we have a date to look forward to. We have marked it on our calendars, have you?
