So it is finally official, the new 2020 Honda Africa Twin is going to be unveiled on September 23. This new adventure motorcycle has been in the news for quite some time. We had various speculations and even a teaser video that the company released in July.
There’s a new teaser video which reveals the front end of the 2020 Africa Twin. Well, it’s just the headlights. But more details of the bike will be out pretty soon within a matter of days, so we think we can control our emotions till then.
One of the biggest changes that we are expecting to see in the new Africa Twin is a slightly bigger engine – 998cc to 1084cc. The new and more stringent Euro 5 emission norms could be one of the reasons for that. Whatever the reason may be, a bigger engine means more power and who doesn’t like to have that, right? Of course, we don’t have the actual figures as of now but we are expecting Honda to surprise us with some better ones.
Apart from the rumours of the more powerful Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin, we’ve been hearing about a less powerful and more affordable variant as well; an 850cc model. Honda hasn’t said anything about that but we wouldn’t be surprised to see it on Sept 23.
