Yamaha first launched the Aerox series of scooters in 1997 primarily targeting the Japanese market. But soon the company realised the demand of such scooters in the South East Asian market and today the Yamaha Aerox 155 has become everyone’s favourite scooter in countries like Thailand and Bangkok.

The reasons behind the popularity of the Yamaha Aerox 155 are many. With its latest iteration, Yamaha tweaked a few design elements to make the Aerox look more sportier and fancy. The new decals and graphics add to its charm and style. Also, the twin LED headlight setup feels premium.

To complement the stylish looks of the scooter, Yamaha has equipped it with a suitable 155cc, single-cylinder, liquid cooled engine which produces a maximum power of 14.8bhp at 8,000rpm and generates 14.4Nm of peak torque at 6,000rpm. It also gets VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) technology with EFi (Electronic Fuel injection) and Yamaha’s BlueCore Technology.
