Triumph has issued a recall notice for its Speed Triple R and Speed Triple S motorcycles manufactured in the 2016-17 period. A total of 541 units (combined) will be impacted because of this recall.

Triumph has decided to take this step because it noticed a trend with its warranty repairs, that the regulator/rectifier lead for the charging system may rub against a bracket for the ABS modulator, which could potentially result in an electrical short.

Owners of the affected motorcycles will be contacted by Triumph and they can get the problem fixed at Triumph Dealerships free of cost. The entire process is expected to kick off by the end of this month or early in Dec.
