Kawasaki announced pricing for all of its 2018 models, and nobody could have guessed the prices which some of the bikes are set at.

In a rather pleasantly surprising announcement, Kawasaki divulged details of pricing on its range of 2018 models for the UK. While we were expecting a good premium over the competition because of all the technology Kawasaki offers, some prices are downright unbelievable.

Supercharged Hypertourer: Kawasaki Ninja H2SX SE.

For starters, the 2018 Kawasaki Ninja H2SX carries a sticker price of $19,900. One might think it is still a lot of money, so what’s so exciting about it? The standard Ninja H2 sells for $33,600 before taxes, which is what makes the H2SX’s pricing so surprising. You essentially get the same 998cc supercharged inline-four liquid-cooled engine as the H2 with touring-friendly ergonomics.

The Ninja H2SX SE gets a full-color TFT dash, quickshifter and LED cornering lights over the standard H2SX. It retails for $23,900, starting February 2018.

Next up is Kawasaki’s neo-retro motorcycle, the Z900RS. Built around the Z900’s 948cc liquid-cooled inline-four, the Z900RS pays homage to the Kawasaki’s original roadster, the Z1. Both the Z900RS and Z900RS Cafe get traction control, radial calipers, and a slightly detuned mill of the Z900.

The Kawasaki Z900RS in Candytone Orange.

The base Z900RS Metallic Sparkling Black starts at $13,100, with the special edition Metallic Matte Covert Green / Flat Ebony asking for a $270 premium over the standard. For the period correct Z1-inspired Candytone Brown / Candytone Orange paint scheme on the Z900RS, the price is $13,500. All colors and variants will hit showrooms by the end of November.

The Z900RS Cafe will follow soon after the standard, with its signature Vintage Lime Green color. It will be priced at $13,650. Expect the Z900RS to arrive at dealers by March 2018.

Kawasaki will also put on sale in the UK the Ninja ZX-10R SE, the first Kawasaki with electronic suspension. Beginning March 2018, the ZX-10R SE will sell for $24,939 apiece.

New and bigger for 2018: The Kawasaki Ninja 400.

At the bottom end of the motorcycle spectrum, Kawasaki will also start selling the Ninja 400 at $6,900 for the standard. The special edition Ninja with KRT (Kawasaki Racing Team) livery will retail for $7,240. The Ninja 400 will arrive at dealerships from February 2018.
