It’s here, the all-new Honda Africa Twin. Al-Futtaim Honda in Dubai has finally received the first batch of these motorcycles and they are on sale now for AED 56,000. The twin-clutch DCT version isn’t available yet though, that is expected to arrive in June this year. There is no confirmation on pricing for the DCT version as well.
The Africa Twin looks leaner than all of it’s current competitors, namely the BMW R1200GS and the KTM 1190. The 998cc parallel twin engine on the Africa Twin uses Honda’s exclusive four-valve Unicam cylinder-head design for smooth, tractable power. It comes with ABS standard with rear ABS on/off and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC).
At AED 56,000, the Africa Twin falls between the Suzuki DL1000 and the Yamaha Super Tenere, which are both priced around AED 50,000 and the BMW R1200GS and the KTM 1190 which are priced between AED 72-76,000.
For more information, you can call Al-Futtaim Honda, located on Sheik Road, Dubai on 80046632.
