Without a doubt, the Chinese market is dominated by the low-cost electric scooters and small engine commuters that offer cost effective running and come at a striking price. However, the news is coming that China has been working on larger capacity motorcycles and might soon launch a brand new 800cc V-Twin cruiser that will soon hit production this month. If this comes to play, then this would be mostly the largest Chinese-made motorcycle in the market until now. The pictures you see here are from Gaokin Industry who make the engine for this bike.
The design of the vehicle blends well with the design of the engine and a concept machine that was revealed some time back by Motrac. Motrac already make 500cc twin cylinder engines for an adventure bike called the MG500 and this might also come in a cruiser form in the future if the 800cc is coming. The bikes, when launched, will be sold Motrac company in some countries. The engine which is a V-Twin setup is water cooled, has eight valves, has overhead cams and claims 80hp and 72Nm of torque. Details on the specifications are sparse but it has a chain final drive and LED lights.
The styling of the bike is typical cruiser like but the proportions of the bike are really good compared to some of the previous cruiser models we have seen coming from the Chinese companies in the past. In another picture that is shown, it features a bagger styling so it might come in one or two variants as well. There is still no details whether this bike will be sold outside China as of yet. However, Motrac already sells some small capacity bikes in Europe and America and if the costs are reasonable and fair for the company, it might come to the rest of the world.
