The MV Agusta F3 is one of the finest Supersport bikes available today. This Italian motorcycle is very different from its rivals in various aspects. One of which is the styling. Now, MV Agusta is planning to upgrade the F3 for its 2019 model, and it’s being speculated that it’s going to feature an IMU.
It’s being said that the 2019 F3 is going to be more of an electronic upgrade for the model. The Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) is going to power both cornering ABS and slide-control enabled traction control. This will allow the rider to enjoy the full potential of the sweet inline 3-cylinder engine of the F3.
If MV Agusta does bring the IMU to the 2019 F3, then this model will be the first one in the Supersport category to feature it, which shouldn’t be a big deal for the brand because it was MV Agusta who introduced the traction control in the Supersport class in 2011. And it is expected that other brands will follow in the footsteps of MV Agusta.
Apart from the updated electronics package, the 2019 F3 could also get some other improvements, too, which we’ll get to know when the launch comes nearer. The current model of the F3 produces a healthy 148 horses and 88 Nm of torque and weighs only 173 kg (dry). This makes it a very fast motorcycle. It has a top speed of 240 km/h.
