The final pre-season testing phase of the 2018 MotoGP concluded in Qatar. And with only a few days remaining for the first race of this season to be flagged off, Aprilia Racing has revealed its RS-GP, its MotoGP race bike.
The Aprilia RS-GP will be ridden by Aleix Espagaro and accompanying him will be his teammate Scott Redding. Aprilia Racing has utilised the pre-season testing days to make necessary changes to the RS-GP and structure it in a manner to extract the maximum without compromising the comfort of the rider.
Aprilia Racing has put in a new aluminium frame and a new carbon fibre swingarm. These have kept the weight of the bike in check. The team has also put in a new airbox and an exhaust to help the mighty V4 engine to breathe better. Aprilia Racing claims that its RS-GP produce well over 270 hp. The engine has got pneumatic valves and a counter-rotating crankshaft to handle all that power.
Other new elements include a new aerodynamic package and a new suspension setup at the front, which now uses Ohlins TSB46 forks.
We wish team Aprilia Racing all the very best for the 2018 MotoGP. And we are already so excited for this season.
